Exhibit Opening: Wallace Herndon Smith: Portraits and Figurative Paintings — Noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6. The Sheldon, 3648 Washington Blvd., St. Louis. St. Louis-born painter Wallace Herndon Smith traveled extensively in Europe and the United States, producing landscapes, still-lifes and portraits that have an affinity to the works of Henri Matisse and Edward Hopper.
