▪ Passport to Music on Metro — 1-5 p.m. Saturday, June 25. Belleville Transit Center, 718 Scheel St., Belleville, and Emerson Park Transit Center, 929 N. 15th St., East St. Louis. This music festival will feature four musical acts, two at each venue, and is designed to promote community, encourage ridership and showcase the new amenities offered as part of “Transit Stop Transformation” efforts. In this class Dean Gunderson, Seed St. Louis Director of Education, will discuss ways to reduce heat stress on plants to keep your garden growing through the extreme heat of summer. ▪ HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital Highland Auxiliary Rummage Sale — 1-4 p.m. Friday, June 24, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25. St. Paul Gym, 1420 Ninth St., Highland. From 1-3 p.m. Saturday, a bag can be filled for $3. Donations for the rummage sale can be dropped off at St. Paul Gym 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 23, and 8-11 a.m. Friday, June 24. For drop offs and on sale days, use the driveway on the west side of St. Paul Hall and enter the doors straight ahead. This entrance will be the only open doors for donation drop offs and the rummage sale. Watch for directional signs to the gym. While all donations are appreciated to make the sale a success, the auxiliary is not accepting donations of clothing, shoes, books, electronics or large exercise equipment.
