For just over $2K, you and 15 friends can stay at this Hogwarts-style Airbnb in St. Louis
There are more than 1,000 homes in the St. Louis area listed on short-term rental site Airbnb, but not all offer blockbuster-themed accommodations for large groups.
This “Hogwarts Dorms” rental sleeps up to 28 people (though Airbnb will only let you book for up to 16 adults), and it’s located in the heart of downtown St. Louis. The unit boasts five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms and 18 beds.
The 2,000-square-foot unit features four separate rooms highlighting each of the Harry Potter universe’s houses, along with a “House Elf’s Room” and a common area. Amenities include laundry, an LED Smart TV with Roku, high speed internet, two refrigerators, a microwave and more.
Each of the four house-themed rooms has five twin beds: one regular bunk bed and one triple bunk. The House Elf’s Room has a full-sized bunk bed, so it can sleep two or four depending on whether people are sharing. The common room has two sofa beds, one queen-sized and one full.
Make sure not to get too rowdy during your stay, however, as there’s a $1,000 fee for loud noises/neighbor complaints after 11 p.m. The listing specifies the space is not to be used for loud parties.
The “Hogwarts Dorms” are about an 11-minute walk from Busch Stadium, according to the Airbnb listing, and the unit is also located near a Schnucks grocery store.
Pricing depends on the dates and the number of guests you wish to book for, but here is a pricing breakdown as of Oct. 3 for 16 guests staying Oct. 14 to 16:
$935 per night
$179 cleaning fee
$289 service fee
The total price would come out to $2,338 before taxes. The space has a two-night minimum. You may be able to get a 10% discount by booking directly through STL Mindful, but the reservation will be non-refundable.
