Video: Belleville celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with parade Saturday

Belleville celebrated St. Patrick’s Day on Saturday with the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Parade and a block party on Main Street.

The event celebrates Irish heritage and marks the coming of spring.

Downtown Belleville was a sea of green. But spring-like temperatures were not in the forecast Saturday. Parade-goers bundled up as the wind chill made it feel like 34 degrees.

The parade featured bagpipe players and local first responders, as well as floats with families, business owners and public officials.
