The business opened in mid-July and is located in the Shoppes at St. Clair Square. Let’s Paint accommodates painting parties and classes and features, karaoke, trivia, poetry readings and even room for a bit of dancing.

(To my Wesclin posse, I’m thinking girls’ night, ladies!)

The city didn’t have a place like this, said owner Stephanie Williams. So she created one herself.

Let’s Paint is available for private parties, date/couples nights and family events too. It’s mainly BYO beverages and snacks, but some snacks are available for purchase.

The set-up is colorful and fun with two separate rooms that can be for painting sessions or food areas. Each room is set up to glow in the dark through the use of black lights.

The walls sport detailed murals and whimsical canvas art that includes animals being silly and a dose of pop culture. (The “Star Wars” and Spider-Man prints snagged this media geek’s attention.)

Williams, who also owns The Perfect Pop Gourmet Popcorn at St. Clair Square, is “so excited to have two businesses … in Fairview Heights.”

She said her husband, Eddie, did the hard work with the construction at the new venue.

“Every vision that [Stephanie] has,” said Eddie, “I help make sure it comes about.”

Let’s Paint was formally welcomed to the city by Mayor Mark Kupsky and other city officials on Aug. 4 with a ribbon cutting. Williams’ family, friends and staff were in attendance.

Let’s Paint is located at 6540 N. Illinois St., Suite 102, Fairview Heights. Hours vary depending on scheduled events. Call 618-560-3328 or visit letspaints.com for upcoming events and other information.
