The 31st Ameren Missouri Thanksgiving Day Parade will step off at 8:45 a.m. Thursday in St. Louis. The streets will be filled with more than 130 parade units, musical floats, giant helium balloon figures, animal units and restored antique cars and firetrucks.

Twelve high school bands will perform in the parade, including defending champion Belleville East, Collinsville, Mater Dei and Bond County. Santa Claus will arrive at the end of the parade to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas.

When: 8:45 a.m.

Route: From Seventh and Market Streets, it travels west on Market to Union Station and ends on 20th Street.

Broadcast: Live on KMOV-TV, Channel 4.
