What: 15th annual Art on the Square with more than 100 artists in a juried competition displaying and selling their artwork.
Where: Downtown Belleville Public Square
When: 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Cafe on the Square: 13 restaurant and caterer vendors serving everything from barbecue to toasted ravioli; brats and chili to chicken sandwiches; European pastries to cheese cheesecakes; crab cake sandwiches to fresh fruit smoothies; ribeye steak to ice cream; German apple strudel to beef tacos.
Shuttle: St. Clair County Transit will run a free shuttle every 15 minutes between Scheel Street MetroLink station (starting 10 minutes before the festival opens) to East Main and Jackson (ending 20 minutes after the festival closes).
Don’t bring: Pets, bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or scooters.

Make-It-And-Take-It Project stations include:
Associated Bank: Add special touches to your own piggy bank.
Masterworks Chorale and Children’s Choruses: Create an instrument and make your own music.
Southwestern Illinois College: Create a recycled art Caterpillar Cutie with egg cartons, markers and pipe cleaners.
Presbyterian Community Pre-school: Make a hat out of newspaper and add fun decorations to show off your style.
Tourism Bureau ILLINOISouth: Design and color a large blank mural.
Splatter Mania (Kids and family version of Sips n Splatters): Paint individual canvas squares that Bellville artist Zach Weinman will join together to creat a giant flower mosaic.
Sugar Doodles: “Sugar artist” Jessie Bostick design and color a cookie you can eat (1-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday)
St. Louis Zoo: Join the zoo staff to create a larger than life “stained glass” monarch butterfly that will be displayed at the zoo. Learn about butterflies and other animals.
Faces in the Crowd: In partnership with Southwestern Illinois College, area schools invited to create stand-up paintings that allow kids and adults to insert their own faces and become their favore character for a photo opportunity.
