Building for Jesus fundraiser

The Rev. Tom Qualls is asking the public to donate roofing and construction materials to make repairs on a building that houses ministries such as Santa Qualls Warm Ups, Tom Qualls Foundation for People and Animals, Wishing Well Ministry Outreach Food Ministry and God’s Corner at 6101, 6103 and 6105 N. Inner City Ministry

The Inner City Ministry at St. Matthew United Methodist Church in Belleville invites the public to participate in three events. Community outreach festivals are planned from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday and on Sept. 25 at 225 E. Main St. The fifth-annual Circle of Remembrance Dinner will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 22 in St. Matthew’s Banquet Hall, 1200 Mooreland Drive. The ministry’s mission is to help instill hope, self-esteem and dignity in youths and families so they can be productive citizens in the community. For more information, call the Rev. In-depth Bible study

St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Freeburg is starting a three-year, in-depth Bible study series called The Gospel Project, developed by Life Way Christian Resources in Nashville, Tenn. Its multigenerational and chronological curriculum identifies the 99 essential doctrines of the Christian faith and helps people “understand how all Scriptures, from Genesis through Revelation, gives testimony to Jesus Christ.” Discussion groups will meet at 9:05 a.m. Sundays, 7 p.m. Mondays, 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and 7 p.m. Thursdays. 9/11 commemoration concert

Arts & Faith St. Louis will present the sixth-annual 9/11 Interfaith Commemoration in Music concert at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis.
