Tracking your casino rewards on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises used to require more effort than it should have. A long-awaited app update may have just changed that in a meaningful way.

TravelHost's Come Cruise With Me host Daniel Kline and his travel partner, Postcard Travel Planning's Dennis Post, were aboard Celebrity Beyond when the update caught their attention. They break down what changed, why casino players should care, and exactly what to do if the update has not shown up on your device yet. Watch the full video below.

Your points and offers are more accessible than ever.

Dan Kline: Hey there cruisers, some breaking news from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises. We're on Celebrity Beyond.

I'm Dan, he's Dennis. We're your travel hosts. And Royal Caribbean has quietly been rolling out something we have wanted for a really long time. When you go into the app on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity, if you are a casino player, you can now see your casino status, what level you are, how many points do you have? How many points do you need?

This is important on Royal because it's about to reset for the year, so everybody's going to be back at zero and you can see your casino offers. Dennis, explain why this is an improvement over what they used to have.

Dennis Post: Because you used to have to go into a website, then try and find it, and then it was in a hidden spot.

Kline: It was not easy.

Post: Not easy.

Kline: And for a long time it was its own website.

Post: It was.

Kline: And you had to remember that. This, you can't miss it, you're in the app. Now one caveat: When Royal Caribbean rolls something out, it doesn't necessarily go to everyone at once. And in my case, it just updated in the app. In some cases, you're going to have to re-download the app.

So I would recommend if you're watching this video when you open up your app Royal or Celebrity and you don't have it, sign out, sign back in. If you sign back in and you don't have it, delete the app. Download it again.

We can't promise that that's going to do it, but in the next few weeks, usually everyone should have this.

It is a time saver. It also helps you not forget because Dennis, what happens when an offer expires?

Post: It goes. It's gone,

Kline: It's gone.

Post: You can't use it anymore.

Kline: And usually it disappears. If it expires on April 15th, it usually disappears on April 14th. So you actually have a day to use it where it's gone, or it's actually redeemable on the day it expires, but you can't see it anymore.

So this is a big help. You should get some more. At least, you won't get more free cruises, but you get more opportunity to book the free cruises you've earned.

I'm Dan he's Dennis come cruise with us soon.
