No injuries or hazardous material spilled as train derails in Dupo

Local fire departments and a hazmat team were called to the main train yard in Dupo early Saturday when a train derailed.

Dupo Fire Department chief Kurt Johnson said his department responded to the call at 3:50 a.m Saturday. Six cars left the track.

Upon arrival, Johnson said he was advised by Union Pacific Railroad personnel that there were no injuries and that no hazardous material had spilled.
