Jacksonville Police
ARRESTS, CITATIONS
-A 60-year-old Jacksonville woman was arrested at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday on a retail theft charge. She was accused of taking merchandise from Walmart, 1941 W. Morton Ave., without paying, according to a police report.
-A 41-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday on charges of felony theft and criminal damaging. He was accused of damaging a vehicle while trying to remove it from a property in the 600 block of Reid Street, according to a police report.
DISTURBANCES
-Police were called at 11:11 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a man setting off fireworks in the 900 block of North East Street. Officers spoke to him about the city's fireworks ordinance, according to a police report.
-Police were called at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday to West Morgan Street and Diamond Court for a report of juveniles throwing water bottles at vehicles. Officers spoke to the juveniles, who said they were throwing a water bottle in the air, according to a police report.
THEFTS, BURGLARIES
-The front license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of East Wolcott Street, according to a report filed at 10:13 p.m. Tuesday.
-A bicycle was stolen from the 300 block of East Morgan Street, according to a report filed at 10:07 a.m. Tuesday.
VANDALISM
-The windshield was damaged on a vehicle in the 300 block of West Beecher Avenue, according to a report filed at 6:29 a.m. Tuesday.
OTHER REPORTS
-Police were called at 9:51 a.m. Tuesday to Gateway Foundation Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center, 1300 Lincoln Ave., after a patient ordered drugs and had them sent to the facility. The drugs were taken to Jacksonville Police Department and destroyed, according to a police report.
