Several metro-east grocery stores to close early Christmas Eve. See latest holiday hours
Christmas and New Year’s are just around the corner, and you may want to check which Belleville-area grocery and liquor stores near you will be open for any last-minute needs.
People can expect to pay a little more for their Christmas meal this year, as the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports grocery costs are up 1.6% from November 2023 to November 2024. Meats, poultry, fish and eggs along with nonalcoholic beverages have seen the greatest increases.
Most banks will be closed Christmas Day as it is considered a “bank holiday,” but you can always check with your branch before heading out.
