High gas prices have given many drivers extra motivation to consider an EV, and it's hard to argue with the numbers. If you're looking to lease a new EV, we covered Tesla's appealing lease deals for the Model Y crossover earlier this week, but there's another Tesla that's even more affordable. That's the Model 3 sedan, which is an even better performer than its crossover sibling. It's also one of the very best lease deals, regardless of vehicle segment or powertrain.

This Month's Tesla Model 3 Lease Deals

The Tesla Model 3's lease price is a lot lower than the Model Y's. This month, you can get one for $299 per month over 36 months, with $3,994 due at delivery. It includes 10,000 miles annually, but a cost of $0.25 per mile applies if you exceed this limit. Tax, title, licensing, and registration costs are excluded. Whereas some Model Y crossovers are pricier to lease this month, the Model 3 is just as affordable as it was in May. What's The Best Model 3 Trim?

You can make a strong case for any Model 3. The base variant is terrific value, while the top Performance model will easily outsprint a BMW M3, yet still has over 300 miles of range. If you don't need AWD, we recommend going for the Premium RWD variant.

Its $349/month lease is still a lot less than a Model Y, but it's quick (0-60 in 4.9 seconds) and has the best range in the lineup (363 miles). Being the Premium trim, it has more features and nicer finishes than the base model, too. Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) suite has the ability to dramatically transform your daily commute, as we found out a few days ago. This suite now costs $99 per month, but many Tesla drivers consider it a must.

Final Thoughts

The Model 3 in its current form is likely the most sensible Tesla you can buy. For roughly what it would cost you to lease a Camry, you can have a futuristic-feeling EV with vastly superior performance and that has the capability of virtually driving itself. Yes, not everyone will warm to the Tesla's unconventional interior and controls, but those with a love for the latest tech will love it. It's no surprise that it's one of America's favorite EVs, despite the arrival of a new wave of competitors.
