Number of coronavirus cases increase in St. Louis region, with another death reported
St. Louis County announced its sixth death on Thursday, a man in his 70s, according to a news release from the St. Louis County Police Department. In total, the county had 712 confirmed cases of the virus as of Wednesday evening.
The city of St. Louis had 216 cases by Thursday evening, the state health department reported. The city has had one death, which was announced March 23.
In all, Missouri has 1,834 coronavirus cases, with the highest amount in the St. Louis region, the state Department of Health and Senior Services reports.
