Number of coronavirus cases in southwestern Illinois reaches 437

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in southwestern Illinois reached 437 on Sunday, while the number of deaths remained at 12.

St. Clair, Madison, Monroe and Randolph counties reported new coronavirus cases on Sunday.

The deaths in the region have occurred in St. Clair County, nine; Madison County, two; and Monroe County, one.

Statewide, 720 people with COVID-19 have died. A total of 20,852 cases had been reported as of Sunday afternoon by the Illinois Department of Public Health. There have been 100,735 coronavirus tests conducted across the state.
