Illinois’ latest statewide coronavirus numbers include 143 new deaths

Illinois has 2,219 new COVID-19 cases and 143 additional deaths, health officials announced Tuesday.

The announcement by the Illinois Department of Public Health brings the statewide total of coronavirus cases to 48,102 and the total number of deaths to 2,125.
