Latest coronavirus numbers include 3 new deaths in St. Clair, Madison counties
Three new coronavirus deaths were reported in St. Clair and Madison counties on Saturday to bring the region’s total to 80.
The St. Clair County Health Department said two women died in COVID-19-related cases — one in her 80s with underlying health conditions and one in her 90s with unknown health conditions.
The county has had 41 coronavirus deaths.
St. Clair County on Saturday announced 22 new positive cases for a total of 518 positive cases. There have been 2,206 tests in the county and 1,613 have been negative and 75 are pending.
In Madison County, a man in his 90s died. The Madison County Health Department did not report whether the man had underlying health conditions. Madison County has had 23 deaths.
The Illinois Department of Public Health said Saturday the state has 2,450 new COVID-19 cases and 105 additional deaths.
This brings the statewide total of coronavirus cases to 58,505 and the total number of deaths to 2,559.
