Number of coronavirus cases in Illinois passes 61,000, with deaths over 2,600

llinois has 2,994 new COVID-19 cases and 63 additional deaths, health officials announced Sunday.

The announcement by the Illinois Department of Public Health brings the statewide total of coronavirus cases to 61,499 and the total number of deaths to 2,618.
