Number of coronavirus-related deaths in Illinois hits all-time daily high
llinois has 2,122 new COVID-19 cases and 176 additional deaths, health officials announced Tuesday.
The announcement by the Illinois Department of Public Health brings the statewide total of coronavirus cases to 65,962 and the total number of deaths to 2,838, which is the highest increase in numbers in a single day since the pandemic began.
