Latest coronavirus numbers for Illinois include 1,266 new cases, 54 deaths statewide
Illinois has 1,266 new COVID-19 cases and 54 more deaths, health officials announced Monday.
The announcement by the Illinois Department of Public Health brings the statewide total of coronavirus cases to 79,007 and the total number of deaths to 3,459.
Monday was the lowest reported number of new cases since April 20 and the second-lowest number of new deaths since April 19. However, the daily number of new tests was the lowest since April 25.
