St. Clair and Madison counties report new coronavirus-related deaths

The metro-east has had 1,770 cases and 125 coronavirus-related deaths since the pandemic was declared.

Officials in St. Clair County announced one new death on Tuesday, a man in his 90s with underlying conditions.

Madison County also reported a new death on Tuesday, a woman in her 80s. Health officials did not say whether or not the woman had underlying conditions.

Randolph County reported one new death on Monday.

In the daily COVID-19 news release Tuesday, the state announced 4,014 new cases statewide, bringing the total number to 83,021. Officials also announced 142 new deaths for a total of 3,601 since the pandemic began.
