Latest coronavirus numbers for southwestern Illinois include 1,950 cases, 140 deaths
A total of 1,950 people in southwestern Illinois have tested positive for COVID-19 to date, and 140 people with the respiratory disease have died.
The Madison County Health Department reported two new COVID-19 related deaths Saturday.
St. Clair County reported no new deaths for the first time since May 8, according to health officials. But they announced the first child in the county to show symptoms of the multi-system inflammatory syndrome first seen in the U.S. among children in New York City.
