Latest coronavirus numbers in southwestern Illinois include four new deaths
A total of 2,125 people in southwestern Illinois have tested positive for COVID-19 and 153 people have died, health officials reported Thursday.
St. Clair County announced two new deaths, a man in his 80s and a man in his 90s, both with underlying health conditions. Additionally, Madison County reported two new deaths, but did not provide further information.
Also on Thursday, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced 2,268 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 87 more people have died statewide. Illinois has seen a total of 4,607 deaths across the state during the pandemic and a total of 102,686 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus.
