Latest coronavirus numbers for southwestern Illinois include 2,332 total positive cases

Local health departments are reporting that the number of coronavirus cases in southwestern Illinois has reached 2,332 as of Tuesday, and the number of deaths has increased to 174.
St. Clair County reported one new virus-related death on Tuesday, a man in his 60s with underlying health conditions.
Clinton County also reported a new death, but did not release details.
Statewide, 113,195 people have tested positive for the virus and 4,923 have died, the Illinois Department of Public Health reported Tuesday.
Additionally, the latest IDPH metrics showed that Southern Illinois is on track to start Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan at the end of the current stay-at-home order on May 29.
