Illinois health officials report 113 new coronavirus deaths statewide
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced Tuesday that 1,614 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 and 113 more people have died.
Illinois has seen a total of 5,525 deaths during the pandemic, officials reported. A total of 122,848 people have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
An additional 16,431 have been tested for the virus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of administered tests to 934,704, IDPH said in a news release.
Illinois moved into Phase 3 of Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s Restore Illinois reopening plan on May 29.
