Illinois health officials announce 692 new coronavirus cases, 44 deaths statewide
Statewide, 692 new coronavirus cases and 44 more virus-related deaths have been reported, the Illinois Department of Public Health announced Friday.
The new cases bring Illinois’ total to 135,470 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began. There have been a total of 6,580 deaths in the state.
Laboratories have performed 1,311,003 coronavirus tests statewide, with 27,171 of them recorded since Thursday.
