After national health officials urged all vaccinated U.S. adults to get a COVID-19 booster shot, you may be wondering where you can find one.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control said anyone over 18 years old who has been fully vaccinated should get a booster if six months have passed since the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or two months after the Johnson & Johnson shot.

The CDC’s guidance comes in light of the emerging Omicron variant. Not much is known about the variant yet, but health officials worldwide were concerned it could be more contagious than previous variants. President Joe Biden on Monday said the variant was cause for concern, not panic.

Here’s a list of places in southwestern Illinois where you can get a booster shot. Regardless of where you live, you can find a place to get your first shots or a booster at Vaccine.gov. Those seeking a shot may want to call the pharmacy ahead of time to confirm vaccine stock and appointment availability.
