Schnucks has changed its Missouri masking policy. Here are details of the announcement

Facemasks for customers, employees and vendors are no longer required at any Schnucks locations, according to a press release the store issued Sunday morning.

This is because the city of St. Louis facemask mandate expired Saturday, March 5, and according to the CDC’s COVID-19 Community Level Assessment Tool, none of the Schnucks stores are located in a high risk area, the press release noted.

Customers, teammates and vendors are welcome to continue wearing a facemask at their own discretion, according to the press release. Schnucks will continue to offer complimentary facemasks at all their stores.

Previously, Schnucks stopped requiring masks for customers, employees and vendors at Illinois locations after the state’s indoor mask mandate expired Feb. 28.

“Customers, teammates, and vendors who are not under a government mask mandate and not in a county identified as high risk according to the current CDC Community Level assessment tool will no longer be required to wear masks,” Mason Keller, Schnucks vice president of asset protection, stated. “We welcome anyone to continue to wear a mask based on their personal comfort level and we will continue to offer complimentary masks at all of our locations.”
