An O’Fallon man was arrested and charged on Friday after a 21-year-old woman said she was sexually abused at a Shiloh residence on Aug. 28.
Shiloh Police Department identified the man as 22-year-old Jacob A. Villagran. The St. Clair County state’s attorney’s office charged Villagran with three counts of criminal sexual abuse.
Villagran’s bail was set at $30,000.
Shiloh police said they received the report at 6:10 a.m. Aug. 28. The victim told police she had stayed overnight at a home in the 500 block of Pebble Brook Lane following a party with friends and acquaintances. Police said she was treated and released at a local hospital last week following the incident.

Villagran was identified as a suspect by police and he was taken into custody on Thursday without incident.
Police said the case was submitted for review to the violent crime unit of the St. Clair County state’s attorney’s office.
The case had pending grand jury actions, according to online court records.
