The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have work at the intersection of Illinois 157 and Main/State Street in East St. Louis, the agency said.
To accommodate the work, intermittent lane closures are planned:
▪ The eastbound lanes of State Street will be restricted to one lane approaching the intersection with Illinois 157.
▪ The westbound lanes of Main Street will be restricted to one lane approaching the intersection with Route 157.

▪ Illinois 157 will be restricted to one lane in both directions through the intersection.
Flaggers are planned to shift and move traffic through the intersection, IDOT said.
Work is scheduled to begin Monday, weather permitting, and is scheduled to take place daily between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., IDOT said.
The work is necessary to resurface all legs of the intersection and is scheduled to be completed by the middle of October, the agency said.
