Looking for a job? Here are 50 employers looking for candidates

More than 50 employers are scheduled to participate in the 2016 Jobs Plus Regional Job Fair, from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville.

The job fair is being organized by St. Clair County, and is set to provide job seekers opportunities to learn about employment openings in various industries including healthcare, hospitality, education, transportation, utilities and the trades.

The job fair is free and open to the public, and to people with any type of degree, organizers said.

Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and bring along their resumes to share with prospective employers, fair organizers said.

During the event, representatives from participating employers, which include the Bank of Edwardsville, Bi-State Development, Ambit Energy, HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and SCI Engineering, will accept resumes and conduct on-site interviews, organizers said.

For those interested in submitting applications online, a free wi-fi connection will be available throughout the venue. The event also will include free interpretation services for the hearing-impaired and Spanish-speaking attendees, along with a resource room where attendees can take advantage of free copy services and computer access.
