A St. Louis company had its solicitor’s permits revoked Thursday by the Fairview Heights Police Department.
Employees with the company will no longer be able to operate in Fairview Heights after police said they received a number of complaints regarding aggressive sales tactics being used by the company.
The workers were going door-to-door regarding switching of power suppliers for resident’s homes, according to a Fairview Heights Police Department news release. Police said residents should refuse entry and call the police department if they are solicited by company representatives.
Police said they are not conducting a criminal investigation at this time. Anyone who has been contacted by the company and has concerns should call Fairview Heights police at 618-489-2100.
