Road in Hartford to be closed through April 15

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have Hawthorne Avenue in Hartford closed in both directions to all traffic through mid-April, the agency said.

Hawthorne Avenue from Illinois 3 to Old St. Louis Avenue is scheduled to be closed through April 15, as workers replace a collector manhole for the Wood River Levee District pump station, IDOT said.

Signed detours will be in place directing motorists to alternate routes, IDOT said.
