Police respond to accident, shooting on I-55 in St. Louis

Police were investigating a shooting and car accident Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 55.

KMOV reports that the accident, which occurred around 2 p.m., was in the southbound lanes of the highway and involved a truck and a car.

Police told the TV station that a man was shot in the back of the head but was conscious and breathing when first responders arrived at the accident.

No other injuries have been reported, according to KMOV.
