East St. Louis Police are looking for a 52-year old East St. Louis man to question him in connection with an aggravated battery case that occurred in late April.

East St. Louis Detective Lamar Martin said police are looking for East St. Louis resident Leland S. January, who is 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 220 pounds.

January has black hair and brown eyes. Martin said a last known address for January is 625 Post Place in East St. Louis.

“He is wanted for questioning in an aggravated battery investigation, that occurred April 29,” Martin said. The victim involved is a unnamed male. Martin said a warrant is not on file, but “reasonable grounds have been established to justify an arrest,” Martin said.

Police are asking that anyone in the public who knows January’s whereabouts or who might have seen him to contact East St. Louis police at 618-482-6712 or 618-310-9656.
