The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to intermittently restrict Albers Road to one lane in each direction starting on Thursday, the agency said.
Work on Albers Road from 0.2 miles south of Interstate 64 to approximately 0.3 miles north of I-64 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, weather permitting. The work is planned to take place on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Workers are slated to complete pavement patching, asphalt removal and resurfacing, aggregate shoulders, pavement striping and guardrail replacement, IDOT said.
This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of August, the agency said.
Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes, IDOT said.
