Police on Thursday were searching for a suspect in a robbery that occurred Wednesday afternoon at Associated Bank on Junction Drive West.
A man entered the bank at around 4 p.m. and handed a note to one of the tellers, according to Glen Carbon Police Lt. Wayne White. The man told the teller he was robbing the bank and implied he had a weapon. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect, described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-8 with red hair and wearing a baseball cap, fled on foot from the bank. He was last seen driving away in a red pickup truck.
No one was injured during the robbery.

Glen Carbon police, state and federal law enforcement were investigating the robbery.
