Lane closures planned along I-55/70 in Madison County

The Illinois Department of Transportation plans to have lane closures along eastbound Interstate 55/70 at Interstate 255, near Collinsville, the agency said.

Workers plan to paint two bridges carrying I-255 traffic over I-55/70 and to perform pavement repairs, IDOT said.

Two lanes are set remain open during weekdays, as will the ramp to I-255. This work is scheduled to begin Monday and is expected to be completed by Aug. 25, weather permitting, IDOT said.
