Saint Louis Zoo is ranked in the world’s top 10 zoos

Is it any surprise that the Saint Louis Zoo has been ranked one of the best in the world?

Travel website TripAdvisor ranked the Saint Louis Zoo as the sixth best in the world, and the second best in the U.S., just behind the San Diego Zoo. The ranking is based on reviews from travelers, and is the third time the zoo has placed at the top of the list since it began in 2014, the zoo posted on Facebook.

“We are honored to be ranked the No. 6 zoo in the world and No. 2 in the U.S. by TripAdvisor’s 2017 Travelers’ Choice awards for zoos,” the zoo posted. “Thank you for your kind reviews!”

Worldwide, the Saint Louis Zoo fell behind the Singapore Zoo, Loro Parque in Spain and Chester Zoo in the United Kingdom and Prague Zoo in the Czech Republic.

The visitor review posted on the TripAdvisor ranking said: “Best Zoo either of us I (sic) have ever been to.”
