Glass-topped ‘dining yacht’ set to sail on Chicago river
Imagine dining under a glass-topped boat, cruising from Navy Pier onto the Chicago River.
It’s coming to Odyssey Chicago, which has operated dining cruises for more than 30 years and has now added a glass-topped vessel to launch in 2018.
The glass-topped yacht will offer 360-degree views of the city for up to 200 people, boarding near the Magnificent Mile and enjoying brunch, lunch or dinner with entertainment.
Odyssey leaders say the completion of the Chicago Riverwalk and the ongoing environmental cleanup of the Chicago River have led to an increase in interest for the river cruises, according to the ChicagoTribune.
The boat is set to launch in time for the Fourth of July celebrations in 2018, according to Odyssey Chicago.
