Uncle Nick’s Deli opens in Belleville
An independent sandwich shop opened Monday in Belleville.

Olympika Bar & Grill opens today in Swansea. The former Olympic Restaurant at 4508 W. Main St. in Belleville has relocated to 127 North Belt East in Swansea and opens today under a new name.
Papa Vito’s Pizza in Waterloo reopened last Friday after the owners went on vacation last week and temporarily closed the restaurant at 223 W. Mill St. The pizzeria is also advertising an April 7 opening at its long-awaited location at 4205 North Belt West in Belleville. Stay tuned.
Kloss Furniture is wrapping up its remodeling at its O’Fallon store. The furniture seller at 1246 Central Park Drive will celebrate with an official grand opening of the remodeled store on May 8. The phone number there is 618-628-2802.
Verizon Wireless has temporarily relocated its store in Fairview Heights to accommodate a renovation of its existing building. The wireless provider has moved to the shopping center located behind its building at 5902 N. Illinois St. The business is planning to move back to the building by July 3. And finally, a new report released last week by New York-based construction industry analysts Dodge Data & Analytics finds that future contracts in residential construction awarded this year in the St. Louis area totaled $157 million, which will exceed last year’s amount, $76.3 million. However, the region’s non-residential development is expected to drop from the $47 million recorded last year to $42 million in 2015.
