An East St. Louis man has been charged with the shooting of a fellow East St. Louis man, according to charges filed Monday.
Aaron Jordan, 30, was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm. Police say Jordan shot Richon K. Sayles in the leg with a handgun on Oct. 5, according to charges.
His only other previous criminal conviction was a conviction for possession of cannabis in 2006. Jordan was not in police custody as of Monday afternoon.
East St. Louis police did not respond Monday for further comment.
