A northern Illinois family created a Wheel of Fortune “costume” for Halloween for their son’s wheelchair.

Anthony Alfano, 8, of Melrose Park has cerebral palsy. Over the years, the family has gone to some lengths to create unusual Halloween costumes for Anthony. He’s been the Lincoln Memorial, Pinocchio, Elvis, a jockey and a hockey goalie in the past.

And this year, his wheelchair has been turned into the game show “Wheel of Fortune.” His mother, Deanna Alfano, used a PVC board and LED lights so that the costume would light up.

She said Anthony loves hearing the alphabet, and “Wheel of Fortune” is one of his favorite shows.

“Halloween is just a day when we can stop looking at the actual wheelchair and look at the boy in the costume,” she told Inside Edition.
