Alton police locate missing woman safely

Alton Police have reported that the woman who went missing from Alton has been found safe and sound.

EARLIER:

Alton police are asking for help finding a woman who has been missing since Thursday.

Venita Sciacca, 58, was last seen about 6 a.m. Thursday in the 3500 block of McArthur Bouvelard in Alton, according to police.

She is a black woman, about 5-foot-4 and 150 pounds with black hair in braids, brown eyes and wearing a beige hooded jacket, police say.

Sciacca’s car, a white 1998 Buick, has also been missing. The Buick is registered in Illinois with license plate AP5703 and has a “99.1 Joy FM” sticker on the back.

Police posted the notice Saturday afternoon on Facebook.

If anyone has any information regarding Sciacaa’s location or well-being, they should contact the Alton Police Department at 618-463-3505, or their local agency, as soon as possible.
