Police search for Rosewood Heights burglar

Police were asking the public for help identifying a person they say stole electronics from at least eight vehicles early Wednesday morning in Rosewood Heights.

Police were asking the public for help identifying a person they say stole electronics from at least eight vehicles early Wednesday morning in Rosewood Heights.

The person broke into unlocked cars parked on and near West Rosedale Drive, according to Madison County Sheriff’s Office Capt. T. Mike Dixon. The person took items including cash, a laptop, electronic cords and USB charging adapters.

Dixon included two surveillance photos of the man which were taken around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

The captain wrote the suspect looks like a young, thin, white man who has dark hair. He was was wearing light blue jeans, a multi-colored hoodie and a flannel jacket or shirt over the hoodie.

Anyone who recognizes the man’s clothing or has information about the burglaries can call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 618-692-4433 or the agency’s anonymous tip line at 618-296-3000.
