Two women charged in man’s drug-related death
A second woman has been arrested and charged with drug-induced homicide in the death of a Mount Vernon man, a radio station is reporting.
Lavelta Washington, 40, died Nov. 12.
Stephanie Garcia, 22, and Zia Flowers, 25, are charged with drug-induced homicide, a class X felony, radio station WJBD reported. The charge is used when officials believe a person provided drugs that caused someone’s death.
