Illinois adds online service to disability placard process
Jesse White says allowing physicians to renew disability placards online will “significantly” reduce how long it takes to get a parking placard.
Patients will still need to see their physician to be authorized for the renewal every four years, the secretary of state says.
White said in a news release that the office started the service Oct. 12. There are more than 625,000 disability placards and more than 50,000 disability license plates in Illinois.
