Man’s fatal jump from county parking garage was apparent suicide, coroner says
A man jumped to his death Friday afternoon from the top of the parking garage beside the St. Clair County Building in Belleville.
Marc Potts, 57, of Collinsville, jumped head-first from the fourth floor of the parking garage at about 5 p.m. Friday, St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye said.
County sheriff’s detectives were investigating, Dye said Saturday, but it appears to be a suicide.
Potts may have been in divorce court that morning, according to authorities.
