Missing 10-year-old from Missouri found safe

A 10-year-old girl missing from Troy, Missouri, was found safe and was returned home.

Police were searching Sunday for 10-year-old Madalyn Lily Stokes, who was last seen at her residence in the 1100 block of Sleepy Hollow at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to a Facebook post from the Troy Police Department. She was wearing blue jeans and a blue and green flannel shirt, wearing a white and blue backpack with tan straps.

She is 4-foot-10 and weighs 60 pounds, and has blue eyes and long blonde hair. Police believed she was a runaway.
