Staunton man charged with receiving child porn video
A former O’Fallon man now living in Staunton is facing allegations that he received child pornography, according to federal court officials.
Christopher R. Buse, 42, was formally charged Wednesday, according to a release from Donald Boyce, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois.
According to the charge, Buse “knowingly received” a video containing child pornography. Court records show he was living in O’Fallon at the time of the offense; he moved to Staunton in February 2017.
The sentence for that charge is up to 20 years in prison and a fine up of to $250,000.
Buse has a public defender and is on home detention and electronic monitoring while his case is pending.
